Key Worker
When your child starts at Derwent Stepping Stones they will be allocated what is called a key worker, who will work alongside you and your child to ensure their individual needs are met. Your key worker will offer regular feedback regarding your child’s progress and development. Your key worker can also offer you advice and guidance regarding a variety of questions including routines, diet, behaviour and general childcare questions.

Foundation Stage
There are six areas of learning followed through by the curriculum, where children are encouraged to develop as independent learners.

Birth to 3 Framework
Our Childcare follows the Birth to 3 Framework and has 4 focus areas: healthy child, skilful communicator, strong child and competent learner.

Additional Support
The Nursery has a variety of additional support services available to families including subsidised places, accessing Working Families Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits, support into work and help to young parents wishing to return to study.
