Academy Tutor - sessional

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic tutors to join our new exciting venture

In September 2011 our Academy started delivering training within the ‘Children & Young People’s Workforce’ to our first cohort of apprentices.  We plan to expand our offer to include Community Work, personal development and Health and Social Care, ranging from entry level to level 4.

We are seeking qualified, flexible tutors to join our ‘pool’ of tutors to enable us to develop and grow the Academy provision.

Hours:  Variable, to include evenings and weekends                      

Salary:  £16.12 per hour

Applications are invited from candidates who have:

  • Qualification within QTLS framework
  • Experience of teaching young people and/or adults
  • Subject specialist qualification

Purpose of post:

  • To deliver a high quality teaching service for young people and adults

Main duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality teaching and learning
  • Session plans and scheme of work
  • Supporting learners to achieve
  • Continual learner assessment

Subject areas to include:

  • Health and social care
  • Community Work
  • Personal learning and thinking skills
  • Employment rights and responsibilities
  • Personal development

Relief Nursery Officer         

Hours: As required                    Salary: £6.08 - £6.27 per hour, dependant on qualifications

 

Applicants need:

 

·         Previous experience working with children either paid or unpaid

·         Basic knowledge of child development

·         Flexibility
