Derwent Stepping Stones @ Brackensdale opened in April 2013 and in December 2015 received a Good rating from Ofsted. The building is situated within a secure fenced off area next to a large playing field which also has a nature trail and pond area. The children have access to these areas and also to sections around the building.
Derwent Stepping Stones at Brackensdale is an inclusive setting making reasonable adjustments to accommodate children, parents and carers who may have additional needs. We work closely with other agencies to provide a good service and support for children, parents and carers and to ensure an early and effective intervention.
The well qualified staff members within the setting have a good knowledge of the learning and development requirements for all children and deliver opportunities to ensure that all children thrive.
